Energifonden Sverige AB has sold all of its shares in the fuel company Smart Energy Sweden Group AB through an off-market block transaction to an investment company that intends to manage the company further through a new growth plan.
Before the transaction was completed, CEO Fredrik Johansson resigned from Smart Energy and a new CEO Jesper Starander was appointed by the Board.
Thus, after 5 years, Energifonden has now fully realized its ownership in Smart Energy and strengthened the cash in Energifonden which now enables new investments in the energy sector that will create good returns to all bondholders in Energifonden and its subsidiaries. We wish Smart Energy good luck in its continued expansive journey in the fuel sector in rural Sweden!
